Abigail DeRosa (b. 1990, Worcester, MA) is an American artist practicing in photography. Her work explores the relationship between people and their immediate surroundings by examining isolated parts of cities and towns. This work is punctuated with themes of melancholic boredom and the contradiction between bucolic idolatry in the American psyche and the passive degradation of the natural world. DeRosa studied visual art and photography at Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, CT and Art History at Arizona State University and has exhibited work nationally. She is currently living and working in Atlanta, GA.
