Abigail DeRosa (b. 1990, Worcester, MA) is an American artist practicing in photography, painting and film. Her photo work explores the relationship between people and their immediate surroundings by examining isolated parts of cities and towns. This work is punctuated with themes of melancholic boredom and the contradiction between bucolic idolatry in the American psyche and the passive degradation of the natural world. DeRosa studied visual art and photography at Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, CT, is a self taught oil painter and has exhibited work nationally. She is currently living and working in Atlanta, GA.
